Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Jobs

Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is located in Staffordshire across three sites in Burton, Tamworth and Lichfieldand provides work experience placements for the local community 6 times per year.  Placements are arranged in agreement with various departments in which a student carries out a range of general workplace tasks and activities, but with the emphasis being on the learning aspects of the experience. It is different to volunteering - although experience as a volunteer can enhance your CV and be seen as valuable by potential employers.

Restrictions

The demand for placements continues to exceed the number available therefore;

The work experience programme is available predominantly to students aged 14 and over who either live or are studying within the geographical area which the Trust serves.

Due to health, safety and confidentiality, some clinical areas are restricted to aged 16 or 17 upwards.

The Trust four day work experience programme not only includes work shadowing but may also include a range of activities that give a useful insight into what it is like working in a hospital environment. Students will develop an understanding of the huge range of over 300 exciting and challenging career opportunities within the NHS - no matter what your interests, skills or qualifications.
